Living Life on the Grid

As an optimist, the concept of design has been a part of my mentality for about as long as I can remember. Things never seem to just happen in the world. Even if decisions are made subconsciously, they still have consequences that can be measured and organized. Life is designed, and as a designer, I take this power of influencing the world very seriously. The choices I make when creating a poster or logo or typesetting a book are not made lightly; they are made with intent and purpose; they are made to maximize the ease of communication with the consumer and minimize the amount of unnecessary distraction. As a designer, I want viewers of my work to see things, read things, feel things and understand things without even knowing it… and I want to use this invisible power for good.

Below are just a handful of examples of design work I’ve done for both my collegiate design courses and clients outside of academia. Choose a square to read more about its cooresponding piece.
